Overview
Dr. Camscope 3D is Sometech's first-generation 3D video digital laparoscopy system, delivering 1920×1080p 60 Hz high-definition imaging with true stereoscopic depth perception.
Convergence control is based on a 5 cm main working distance and can be adjusted from 3 cm (short) to 5 cm (long) with the supplied jig, so the system stays effective at both short and long range. Binocular disparity is adjusted on a simple touch screen menu after scope replacement, and white balance is set automatically.
The scope integrates its LED light with the camera cable, which keeps cabling simple, while a high-resolution rod-lens design developed in-house delivers the 3D image. The Solebeam LED light source runs at 6,500 K to reduce eye fatigue and over 47,000 lux for easy visibility during surgery.
